The question is... do you integrate technology or do you infuse it?
The integration of technology is adding technology elements to units and lessons you already use in your classroom. (This might mean that you are using the same units you need to meet your standards requirements...)
The infusion of technology can be defined as making changes in your "best practices" so that technology is seamlessly used in the classroom. (This might mean a complete overhaul of how you teach, and how you present lessons.)
Technology Allows Students to:
- visually learn
- branch ideas together using hypermedia, multidomains, etc.
- evaluation of information
- socio-emotional learning
Whether you are infusing or integrating is immaterial as long as you are trying to use technology in the classroom. Here are some ideas for you to look over and borrow.
